A Brand Refresh

Pinnacle founder Chris owns space in a badminton gym outside of Seattle. He primarily works with badminton athletes and often spends time at local badminton events. While generally happy with his branding, he felt limited by his logos and unsure if he was using his color palette correctly. He was also hoping to have some options for branded gear when he works at tournaments. During our consultation, we agreed that he did not require a full rebrand but would benefit from a brand refresh with some small updates as well as a structured guideline to use when creating marketing materials.

The Design Process

I chose not to modify Chris’ primary logo or submark but I did provide him with additional color options to allow for more flexibility. I modified his secondary logo to improve the alignment and legibility, creating a logo that provides more visual interest alongside his primary logo.  We worked on creating an alternate logo and options for branding merch with his badminton audience and modified the color palette to align more with his brand descriptors.
